Statement of Faith

The biblical foundation that guides our ministry and shapes our understanding of God's heart for the vulnerable.

Our Foundation

2000 Reasons is built upon orthodox Christian beliefs rooted in Scripture. Our statement of faith reflects our commitment to biblical truth and provides the theological foundation for our love-first approach to ministry. We believe that sound doctrine naturally leads to compassionate action, and that our understanding of God's character directly impacts how we treat those He loves.

The Holy Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, sufficient for all matters of faith and practice. It is our final authority in all spiritual matters.

The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each possessing equally all the attributes of Deity and the characteristics of personality.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven where He intercedes for us.

Salvation by Grace

We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. It is not by works, but is a gift from God that produces good works as evidence of genuine faith.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, regenerates the believer, and indwells every Christian, empowering them for godly living and service.

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers. We are called to love one another, make disciples, and serve those in need as Christ's hands and feet.

Human Dignity

We believe every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and worth, regardless of their circumstances, background, or current spiritual condition.

Christ's Return

We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ and the final resurrection of both the saved and the lost - the saved to eternal life and the lost to eternal judgment.

Faith in Action

How our beliefs shape our ministry approach

Love-First Ministry

Because we believe in the transformative power of Christ's love (1 John 4:19), we lead with acts of kindness rather than evangelistic presentations. We trust that when people experience genuine love, the Holy Spirit opens their hearts to the Gospel message.

Image of God Dignity

Our belief that every person is created in God's image (Genesis 1:27) compels us to treat each individual with inherent dignity and worth, regardless of their circumstances. This theological truth shapes every interaction in our ministry.

Grace-Motivated Service

Understanding salvation as God's gift of grace motivates us to extend that same grace to others. We serve not to earn God's favor, but because we have already received it freely through Christ's sacrifice.

Unity in Essential Truths

2000 Reasons is interdenominational, welcoming believers from various Christian traditions who affirm these essential biblical truths. We believe in "unity in essentials, liberty in non-essentials, and charity in all things."

Our volunteers and supporters come from different denominational backgrounds, but we are united in our commitment to Scripture and our calling to serve the vulnerable with Christ's love. We focus on what unites us in the Gospel rather than what might divide us in secondary matters.

"May they all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you sent me." - John 17:21
